I was messaged by a Lisa who claimed they were from Cameron Smith Human Resources messaging about a remote job opportunity with a competitive salary. They stated that I could do this part time job any where as I am currently living in Germany for the Military. It all sounded good, so I gave them permission to have the person in-charge contact me for more information. I then received a Whatsapp message from an Ashley stating she got my information from Lisa from Cameron Smith. She described that the job opportunity was a platform developed by Big Panda that aims to promote apps that have limited global exposure. App developers list their apps on this platform, and then it is the employee's responsibility to drive traffic to these apps, increase their visibility, and improve their download rates to enhance their rankings on the market place. They then explained all the financial benefits of doing this remote job and all the money that can be made. Never once did they explain that I would have to put any of my money into the system to make money prior to my agreeing and starting the work. When I first started the link to the platform was https://imaginovation.app, and then a week or so later it changed to imaginovation-app.store. They explained the link was replaced to make the platform better. As I went forward with this job, they later asked me if I understood the work that they do. I responded that I think we are submitting reviews on different apps (even though we have never used the app) so that there are more reviews for when someone wants to buy/download the app. I stated that we are more or less lying about using a certain app and giving it a good review. The manager didnt really address my comment, and went on to explain that Imaginovation is an application marketing company that has an ASO algorithm system that helps generate data and traffic to App store, Google Play, Huawei App Gallery, ViaoMi store and more applications platform rankings, but they need real users like us to do this with our network, which is why this is a remote work for anyone. We are just increasing the ratings of apps. They said the reason for the money in the system is to pay for the said app, to be able to submit a review on it, and then the money paid for the app is returned back with a small commission. When doing this app optimization there are times when one could get a "Combo app" which is a large app that costs a lot of money to optimize (usually double the amount you have loaded into the system). For example you may have $100 loaded, and then get a combo app that is worth $220. Your $100 will go toward the app, but then you are required to pull money from your personal account to cover the remainder of $120. Once you do that you will get the full $220 back with a larger commission. As I was going through one of my sets for the day, I got 2 combo apps. The first one was $2050, and I had 1,033.74 in my system. So I had to pull $1016.26 from my personal bank account and route it through a crypto currency wallet to load more funds and pay off my negative balance. Since I already had $300 from a previous day, and over $100 invested into the system, I regrettably paid the amount to continue the set. Then after getting the money back and having roughly $2291.30 in my system, I hit yet another Combo app which was $5200 this time. To finish the sets and get my money back, I am now required to pull $2908.70 from my personal account and hope I do not receive another combo app prior to doing 5 more apps. This is when I stopped. I do not have the capital to be able to apply this amount of money in hopes to get it all back. I had no idea if I would even get my money back at all and wasn't willing to lose another close to $3K. My manager/trainer told me that I was "lucky" and that in her 7 months of working this job has only seen/received 3 combo apps, where I had received 3 combo apps in a matter of 5 days. I feel the scam is to continue giving combo apps until the user is not able to pay their negative balance and they lose everything. I contacted the customer service which is through a messaging app called Telegram. I asked if they can remove my last combo app, or give me an advance in the payment. They of course said they cant, and that all I need to do is pay the negative balance if $2908, and I will be able to receive my almost $6000. When I asked for their company contact information they sent me their linkedin account info, but no phone number or email. They did say their company HQ was in Raleigh, North Carolina, but no phone number or email attached. A few days ago they send me a message (through telegraph) of a letter stating if I paid the $2908, they would release $8,996.33 to my crypto wallet. Its on their official letterhead, which anyone with computer skills can make and look legit.
