Description
Received an email through a coworker, and I mistakenly assumed a personal connection to the person who shared the email with me thinkin that I might be interested in the piano. Person ID'd themselves as one Gina Fogle, whose husband was recently deceased. She was in the process of moving out of the country, and the piano was in storage with the listed company in Little Rock, AK. It surprised me that they were located in a different state than me given the (mistakenly) assumed connection between Ms. Fogle and my coworker. On a follow up, Ms. Fogle provided details concerning the age and condition of the instrument and furnished me with a reference number for the company to coordinate shipment. When I reached out to the company, they provided a tiered-timeframe shipping quote and requested payment via Bank Transfer or Zelle. This caused me to become suspicious, and I looked up the company through BBB, which confirmed my suspicions. I immediately reached out to the company to sever contact and inform them I was terminating my interest.
