In March, 2024 , I was approached by a guy name Thomas. He presented a paving company name as "Summit Driveways & Patios" located in Whitby Ontario. He knocked on my door few times to convince me that his company is in business for more than 30 years ( staring from his uncle ) . He also took me to a near by job site that currently he was working on and told me that the customer was a return customer to his company. He promised me that I don't have to pay anything until the job is complete and 100% satisfied. I googled the company's website and saw some happy customers reviews. I agreed to pay him 16,000 to renovate my front porch and driveway. I singed a work contract with him with work guaranteed for 10 years. The job started on March 6th, 2024 and completed on March 15th, 2024. I worked every day during the whole process of the job so I was not able to see any detail of how the job was done. He started to after me for money after 2 days the job stared and every day after that even though he promised me not have to pay anything until the job is done. I gradually paid him $2,000 on March 8th, $6,000 on March 12th, $5,000 on March 13th and $3000 On March 15. The job was completed on March 15th and I paid him total 16,000. After the job was done with in a week my neighbor from ***** **** ******** knocked on my door informed me that him and I and more of our near by neighbor all got scammed by this same guy and his company. Neighbor's driveway was showing very poor quality during and right after the job, so he was able to detect the scam right away. My neighbor paid less money to Thomas than what they agreed initially to cut the cost he was scammed. After about 3 months my driveway and patio started to show problems. The asphalt pavement showing car tire marks and dents. Some dents are more than 0.5-1". Front porch is caved in more than 1" . The paver stones on the steps are loose and wobble when people walk on them. I contact Thomas right way by calling, texting and emailing. I got no response from him at all. I drove all the way to the company's address 5515 Thickson Road N, Whitby Ontario and found out that the address was a private owned home address, never had any other business registered under that address. So Thomas and his company stole someone else's address to faked his company's address. I have a written contract with the company, I have Thomas picture, I have their truck and trailer's license plate . ****** ** **** **** ** **** **** ******* ** **** ** *** ** ********* ** ******* **** ** *** *** **** *** **** ****** ******* ******* ** *** ******* ***** *** **** *****
