Scam information

This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.

Description

I purchased 2 yorkie puppies from [email protected] and they were supposed to ship the puppies to me and give me the arrival information. I was contacted by Globe Transporters Agency through email and phone. The email stated that I would have to rent their electronic thermal crate an order for them to ship the puppies. I would have to pay in full for the crate and will receive 95% of the money back once the puppies are delivered and I sign the refund papers.

When I said no thanks to their crate offer they said they didn't feel comfortable shipping the puppies without the crate and I would have to work out a solution with the sender. I asked if they informed the sender about this special crate and that you will be asking me, the receiver for money and got no response. Then they worked it out with the sender who agreed to pay half and I pay half. The agency wanted me to send the money to a PayPal account ([email protected]) through friends and family (where the money is unprotected) not goods and services (where PayPal protects the money).

When I questioned that this isn't a business account PayPal information and what are the conditions in which I wouldn't get my money back (95%), I got no response. When I asked for proof (through pictures) that the crate was real and that they actually had the puppies and a letterhead statement outlining the terms and conditions of their crate rental, again no response. The sender was trying to persuade me into sending the money. They never addressed my concerns with the shipping agency but said the agency would turn the puppies over to the pet control department and wouldn't give them back and they labeled me as unfit to care for the puppies.

The agency has yet to respond to any of my emails or answer the phone and the sender stopped communicating and shut down the website to the puppies. The agency main headquarters and the sender says they're in Kearney, NE but the phone number used is in Omaha, NE.
