I received a call from a person from Total Mediation. They stated that they were trying to collect money from a cash advance loan. I asked them when the loan was taken out and they said 2019. I told them that I didn't remember that far back if I took out a loan. They said it was when I worked at a job (and they told me the job name) that I worked at in 2019 and they told me my bank at the time in 2019 and told me they had the last four of my social security number. And they were correct about all of that information. I asked how much the amount of the loan was and they said the original amount of the loan was $1,050 but they could have me pay half of that today ($550) and the matter would go away. I told them that I didn't have that money until I got paid next and they said if I didn't start paying us today they would take this matter to court. They also used my maiden name and not my current legal last name.
