Description

I returned a call from my voice mail about legal documents and a civil claim about to be filed against a property, which I knew not to be one that I owned, nor ever lived at this address. When I called, I tried to tell them that I never lived at this address. They said they were collecting a debt for a Dillards card, and I told them that I never had a Dillards card. Supposedly, this was from 2005, and they had 20 years to collect the debt. She claimed I had been sent something in the mail, but I have not received anything from this company. They said I could settle the claim by paying it before they filed it, which would cost me an additional $2500 in court fees. I repeated that the address the stated was never my address, and I never had a Dillards credit card. I told this woman that I was going to research her company before I did anything. When I got to the BBB page, I found an also identical complaint. I really think these people/this company are a scam.
