I received the following text messages. The first red flag for me was the amount of money they were offering per hour. The second red flag is that Black and Decker's main office is in Connecticut: Stanley Black & Decker 1000 Stanley Drive New Britain, CT 06053, and the 714 area code from the phone number is for Anahiem, Fullerton, and Huntington Beach, California, which was suspicious. The third red flag for me was the use of Microsoft Teams for the interview, this app and whatsapp are heavily used by scammers. The forth red flag was upon checking the companies website there were no job opening for this type of position. Here are the text messages. I hope this helps someone! Be cautious and vigilant!:

CSR. Data Entry Specialist. Reply "YES I AM INTERESTED" To know more about position, pay scale and full details. Thanks. I responded then I received this message: Great. Note that this is a Full/Part-Time online work from home position whereby all duties are done remotely, It's 6-8 hours daily, 30-40 hours weekly with overtime available, Working hours are also flexible...The pay rate is $34 hourly, You will also be paid $27 hourly during the training session, I believe you have no issues with working from home currently?

I am now suspicious but still responded and got this message.

Perfect. The Job briefing, and interview are conducted online and on via Microsoft Teams. There you would get to know more about the company and what the job entails, which would be an IM interactive question/answer session. You are required to get in touch with the Hiring manager Mr. Ralph Doran now for more information about the job and company. Do you have the Microsoft Teams app to get started?

Now I am highly suspicious, but I respond and get this message: Perfect. Sign in on Teams App with your regular email or much preferable to set up an Outlook (Microsoft) email, then send a direct message to the Hiring manager on the Microsoft Teams app to get started, you are to have him added up on the app using his invitation link as follow https://teams.live.com/l/invite/FEA_mmexf60x6h93go Once added, you will be sending him a message for his instant response along with your verification code which is BND-**** to verify, let me know once done.
