I went to renew my passport and the website was a sponsored ad that I thought was the state department website. AFTER filling out the renewal forms I realized I only paid to fill out forms and nothing more. I emailed the company to check things out and some guy named Jake responded that I was simply paying for a helpful user-friendly form filler service to avoid having to fill out forms with pen and paper. Afterwards, I managed to go on the ACTUAL state department website and they perform the save service at no charge. Unfortunately,I already submitted my personal info but fortunately didn't send my passport off to the passport renewal address they provided...thank god. Additional note...there were several variations of the email address for them in their reply to me. It looked like 3 different email addresses responded to me. And shortly after my experience with them, I received a notice from one of the credit card companies I use(not the one that I paid this place with) stating that my social security number appeared on the dark web.
