Description

The scammer got my information via my TikTok account and used the information (name, email, phone number, address) to send me an item that I did not order. When I received the email I thought it was phishing and did not click into the email. When I got another email two days later I got scared, checked my bank account to make sure nothing went out that I didn't authorize, I was in the clear. I then went to the app store to re-download the tiktok app, login to my account that I had not accessed in over a year, and proceeded to delete it. When I had the option to choose a reason for account deletion I selected fraud/scam. The unsolicited package came in the mail today, 4/29/24 with my name and current address but no return label and only had the cheap product in the parcel, no packaging. I then made sure my Tiktok account was deleted, it was, and checked my bank account again to make sure nothing went out in the amount of the item, $26.44 or any other unauthorized charges for that matter, and nothing did go out.
