I was looking at different sites for breeders of Russian Blue cats, and I contacted this person through their website about advertised kittens they had available. We emailed, texted, and had phone call contacts with one another to organize a deposit on the kitten and a virtual meeting of the kitten. They told me to send a Zelle deposit of $400 dollars prior to allowing me to view the kittens - they said something to the extent that they need to be careful of "dishonest" individuals who would capture videos and images of the kittens to then post them for sale elsewhere. I was wary of this business, but having had phone interactions, they sent me a signed bill of contract/receipt, and promised to organize a virtual meeting with the kittens as soon as possible, and so I continued with the transaction. I was informed that the individual would be back at the cattery in one hour after I sent the deposit money through a Zelle payment. I talked with them on the phone to confirm it was received and we set up a time (6:30pm EST) to meet with the kittens. I texted and called multiple times from 6:30 - 7 to try to get in contact and all texts and calls were ignored. I called my bank to report fraud and was informed that because it was a Zelle payment, I am very unlikely to get my money back.
