submitting this report to the BBB Scam Tracker to inform you about ongoing fraudulent phone calls from a group claiming to be AMS Legal Support Services. These calls, which are automated, falsely allege that there is a legal case against me. Disturbingly, these calls have not been limited to me but have also targeted people, including elderly family members, who are in no way connected to me. I have verified with local law enforcement and courts, confirming that there are no active cases or judgments against me. Additionally, direct contact with AMS Legal Support Services has established that they have no record of me or any related case. This situation is particularly alarming as I have been a victim of identity theft within the last two years. The primary number for returning these calls is 855-485-4988, although the scam calls originate from various numbers designed to appear local, such as 860-323-8676 and 860-864-8204. Online searches reveal that the 855 number is being used in a similar manner to deceive numerous other individuals. I am reporting this issue to the BBB to alert the community about this scam. The fraudulent calls are not only misleading but also potentially harmful, especially to vulnerable demographics like the elderly. Your awareness and any dissemination of information regarding this scam would be beneficial in preventing further victimization.
