I was in search of a job, and I was looking for employment through LinkedIn. I didn’t receive the email from Rob Brazzel(mailto:[email protected]) for a DATA ENTRY /OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE/CUSTOMER SERVICE/ASSISTANT (REMOTE) job. He sent me an email to do a one-way video interview through Spark hire and approximately five days later I received an offer letter in which accepted. I was sent a bunch of emails about I’m setting up direct deposit, sending my photo ID and Social Security card via email to start employment. I was prompted to download Microsoft workforce and Microsoft teams. when I asked him what was my start date he told me that I needed to have equipment first and that they would mail out a company card or do direct deposit so that I could purchase equipment approximately 20 days later I received a check in the mail for $20,000. I didn’t reached out to him via Microsoft teams and asked him was I supposed to send back the unused funds and he told me no it was to purchase equipment. I then went to LinkedIn and searched the “owners” name which is Mark Nugent and he posted on his page that there was an illegal scam using his business name, was defrauding people and their personal information and money. He wanted me to inbox him to report the illegal activity and I did so he replied well there’s not much you can do. I hope you reported it to law-enforcement.
