Description
I had applied for a job on LinkedIn for a remote Personal Assistant for RealtyCondoGuide. I was messaged directly by an Al Wester on LinkedIn, who in one area about him shows he is the owner at Southeastern Custom Contracting and in another area he is the VP of RealtyCondoGuide. He told me RealtyCondoGuide is interested in my resume, needs a fill in immediately for the role, told me it would pay $1550/month, and for me to send my resume to [email protected]. I did follow these email instructions and sent my resume through my personal email. I received the following response: "Thank you for sending across your resume for clarification. Once again, we are satisfied with your resume and glad to offer you this position. There will be a short interview for formality purposes, because we need you to fill in for this position immediately. Kindly download and fill out your personal information form in the pdf attached below and have it sent back after you are done filling it as send along the clear and readable copy of your Driver's License front and back pictures. You will be a personal assistant that can post Apartment for Rents on Facebook marketplace and Craigslist. Also you will be working from home. We will schedule your interview, provide a draft of your contract of employment and employment offer letter after we have verified your identity. Kurt Bolz (786) 543-2884 [email protected] Human Resource Manager RealtyCondosGuide® www.Realtycondoguide.com" There was an attached pdf in the email, with a spelling mistake of "RealtyCodoGuide Employee Verification," and the form requested to fill out information such as: full name, phone number, address, email address, DOB, a spot for front & back pictures of my ID, my SSN, if I have filed 2023 taxes yet, and my previous employer's information. I found it odd they were urging me to fill out my information before the interview. I did not send a completed form to them. I checked out their website and found many flaws. I did not find Kurt on the staff page. Their facebook link sends me to a "Wix" facebook page which does not show any association to this potential company/scammer. I cannot find their staff on LinkedIn. Their posts about available properties has missing information and reads "Property Description This item is connected to a text field in your content collection. Double click what you want to edit and then select 'Change Content' to add your own content to the collection. Want to view and manage all your collections? Click the Content Manager icon on the add panel to your left. In the Content Manager, you can update items, add new fields, create dynamic pages and more." They also include a shop page under the More tab where shop items are labelled as "I'm a product." When you click on product it has a description of "I'm a product description. I'm a great place to add more details about your product such as sizing, material, care instructions and cleaning instructions." I also went on scamadviser.com and although they have a rating of 71/100 there was only one review stating "Applied for a position with this company[removed by editor]pany Representative insisted on me providing my ID.me credentials to utilize my account to verify my identity. SCAM."
