I was applying for a job through indeed working for Zurich Insurance Group for a data entry clerk remote position. I was promised training, a sign on bonus, and an Apple laptop. The recruiter went by the name of Rodney Terry and I spoke to him for a few days trying to get equipment sent to my house so I could start training. After a while I didn't hear from him so I started emailing the accounting department who then routed me to an unknown individual calling themselves Kathleen Charlotte, a hiring manager with Apello Pharmaceuticals. Kathleen stated that Rodney Terry no longer worked for the company and that she would be handling my onboarding affairs. I have been out of work for 2 weeks now and my banking account is currently locked with overdraft fees. I didn't know that this was a scam, I just wanted to work.
