This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
Someone called me claiming to be from Anthem and they knew my name and my SSN. I Googled the number and found out it was a scam. I also called Anthem and they told me they do not ask for or mention your SSN.
