Scam information

Description

I was send a letter in the mail addressed to my DBA name. I opened the letter and found that it said it was a “labor law compliance notice”. It stated that I needed to hand compliant labor law posters in my workplace. I was confused because I don’t own an llc or a workplace. I got a DBA for craft fairs and Etsy. It said I owed $114 and if it was not paid by February 24 2024 that I could owe up to $7000 per poster. They have a QR code to scan and order posters at or they add a detachable stub that you put your credit card info, name, phone number and email in. I have never seen something like this so I panicked and sent them an email asking what this was about. After doing research I gathered it was likely a scam.
