I replied to a job posting for HR Administrative Assistant on Ziprecruiter and was contacted by email from a Danielle Tolbert HR manager with Century Consulting Services. After submitting my paperwork to her with bank info, social, etc. She never replied but I was put in contact with James Leon, Office Manager who was to be my supervisor. We emailed for over a week in regards to any questions I had about the position and start date. I was told I was to receive a check for $2500 to my address to deposit wait for clearance and then pay the vendors for required equipment. After not receiving the check I drove to Century Consulting Services office in Austin, TX and spoke with Danielle Tolbert over Zoom. She informed me that I had not spoken to her or Leon. Key points here are the scammers use .co and not .com for the emails. I am not sure what they are going to do with my information but I have put a fraud alert on my credit and closed my bank accounts. Please be careful, they impersonated this company very well.
