I saw an ad on Instagram for FREE Le Creuset pans with Selena Gomez. The add is still up, but all comments are blocked: https://www.instagram.com/p/C1xra0cgcom/ I ordered the pans for a one time shipping fee for $9.95 (that is what the text stated on the ad), but I got no confirmation via email or text. When I researched the company, I found several articles stating this was a scam: https://malwaretips.com/blogs/selena-gomez-le-creuset-giveaway-scam/ https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/09/technology/taylor-swift-le-creuset-ai-deepfake.html I contacted the company (using the phone number on my credit card statement) to get my money back, and I got a call center employee who told me that I entered a sweepstakes, and they attempted to continue to charge me over $180. This is a "sweepstakes" where I will be charged a monthly fee, and I still OWED them money! I told them that I agreed to a ONE TIME FEE ONLY FOR SHIPPING, that I did not enter a sweepstakes, I received no confirmation or receipt of charges, and I would like my money back. They said this was not possible. I told them that I would be reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau, and I contacted my bank to dispute the charges and cancel the card.
