Description
I received an email from [email protected] giving product information and an order confirmation ID for a $326.69 paid and completed through PayPal. PayPal has no transactions through my account for 180 days. I called the number from the email (866) 441-0375. The man gave his person information as: Jason Williams , Job I.D. JW0657PY, San Jose, 2211 North St., California. He pronounced San Jose as it is spelled, not properly. He gave me my email address and home address on the PayPal account and said the delivery is in Hawaii. When I told him I did not order the couch and I thought my PayPal account was defunct, he said it was active but he would refund the money and make sure my PayPal account was properly shut down. He had me download Alpemix onto my computer and open my security to he could access my screen. I did. He sent a BBB complaint form for me to fill out and file. It was different than this form. He asked for a little personal info and then wanted me to log into my bank account so he could refund the money. He said he needed my computer IP address to do so. I did do it and then I hung up and called PayPal etc. and deleted all of the Alpemix information and apps, including in my system settings.
