Description
The scammer called me through a telemarketing phone call and appeared to sound like a legit business by the name of Orlando Stay Accommodations that buys timeshare points from timeshare owners, like myself, and rents the timeshares out to other businesses. I looked up the business name and found their website www.osarentals.com. The caller told me I would have to pay a deposit of $1888.00 and in return, I will profit $9600.00. The caller also told me my profit will not be available until 60 to 180 days after the transaction. I waited 120 days for a payment to come in and I never received anything. I had emails of 2 offers that seem fraudulent, and offering to pay me $1600.00 requesting dates of RCI timeshares that are unavailable, which means I would not be able to receive a payment. The 2 offers were also sent to my email exactly 1 month apart to the date from [email protected]. I called the customer care number on the scammers website to dispute the offers and a female answered. She asked for my name and phone number. Then she told me right away she will call me back. I knew right then I was being scammed. I also saw the website listed as a scam alert under vacation-times.org, along with other timeshare owners posting online that Orlando Stay Accommodations is a scam.
