Tactics The Scammer Used: - Utilized 'Open To Work' notification on LinkedIn to identify people looking for a new career path - Smooth talker who sold 15 years of career coaching experience and existing network to successfully advance careers of men working in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields - Did not have connections in the targeted geographic location - Did not have connections in the targeted career path (Biotechnology, Research & Development, Process Development) - Did not assist with making connections that lead to actionable leads resulting in job interviews (i.e. 0 phone interviews within 12 weeks) - Incomplete systems for onboarding which required answering the same questions multiple times, including answering questions asking for financial information - Advertised weekly group coaching sessions through a Facebook group for which there are no other members and the error message 'This content isn't available right now' is received
