I ordered a snake from a reptile website online. They asked me to use Paypal "Friends and Family" for payment because they were a small family business. The user name they asked me to send payment to was Giovanni Beato. Using this payment method, I was unable to file a claim through Paypal. I received an order confirmaton by email but was never sent the tracking information upon the snake being shipped. I received a message from a courier service (DHD Courier Express) saying that the snake was at the Baltimore Airport but could not be transported unless I paid an additional $360.00 for pet life insurance. I told them the website of the company I ordered from had a 100% live on arrival guarantee. I never heard back from the courier service and have not heard anything back from the Exotic Reptile Shop. I tried calling the phone number on their website but it has been disconnected or is no longer in service. This was supposed to be a Christmas present! I know there is probably no chance of me getting my money back, but I hope this company is shut down and the people behind this scam are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!!
