Description

I came across a Facebook posting about a work-from-home job with good pay. The Facebook member's name was Kelly Kristine whom instructed me to install the Template app and to message @apexsystemllc Within less than 2 minutes of messaging this contact with simply, "Good afternoon!", I receive a response from someone who claims to go by mrs. Michele and is the apex company hiring manager. I receive a long message starting with Welcome to apex company and rants on about the company. I am then advised that she will now "be asking you your interview and i need you to answer me ASAP okay." After basic questions regarding my experience, I noticed the seemingly broken English and started to get suspicious. Among other information, Mrs. Michele informed me that the company will provide a free Apple laptop with the necessary software's installed and that "the funds would be provided for you by the company by PDF-check and to make sure to use them as instructed for the software and i will refer you to the vendor you are to purchase them from". I did receive an email with a check made out to me in the amount of $1000.78 in which I had to print out and send them a picture of it. They then requested I sign the back of it, write For Deposit Only-Huntington Bank underneath and then to write out my account number on the 3rd line which was "very necessary." When I voiced that I was not comfortable sharing my banking information, they replied "You are not to provide any information mrs Gloria. That's why you are asked to do it your self."I did not deposit the check and I have not responded to any more messages from Apex System. (I do have the conversations exported and available)
