Marissa Martin posted on Facebook that the company she is working for is hiring people for remote work from home with flexible time and great pay. She sent me information to connect to Hiring manager “Mrs Elizabeth Meador Orean”, she even sent a picture of her holding her ID card showing her name and position. After going through 10-12 questions, she said I was hired for data entry clerk position for $30/hour. She asked me to send my personal info like full name, address, current picture and ID picture front and back. Then she said while I wait for my equipment, if it would be okay if I was a Facebook recruiter and to verify another recruiter will need to login into my fb account to recruit more people, it was all too fast and confusing but I definitely caught the scam I was about to go through. I told her I do not trust her because it is not normal for people to login into others personal accounts and I even politely declined the job offer overall. However she said I didn’t have to be Facebook recruiter instead I could just be a data entry clerk. I then told her I do not believe this is a legitimate work from home job, but infact a scam and she tried to reassure me that it was a honest job by sending me the actual Nielsen company website(which btw is confusing as well).. I then seen this bbb.org complaint and realized it’s exactly what I was dealing with. Thank you for these complaints. I am just posting my experience to show that it is still happening.
