The website pretended to be a discount outlet site for Talbots fashions, offering up to 90% discounts on Talbots clothing, shoes, and accessories. The very realistic website included photos lifted from the actual Talbots website. One of the reasons I was fooled is because, as a regular Talbots shopper, I recognized some of the merchandise that the fake Talbotsonlinesales.com website was selling. The site also offered free shipping on orders over $50.00, tempting buyers to spend over that. I was alerted by my credit card company that the site was fraudulent, but, unfortunately, I had already spent $59.99 with a second credit card. The site is notorious for spoofing popular websites, so beware of ANY website offering 90% off merchandise. The offer is too good to be true, so don't fall for it.
