I recently opened my own business in the fitness industry, so I made an instagram account for that business. I followed Alter Ego Fitness due to them looking like a legitimate fitness brand, and their larger following. They contacted me via direct message on instagram, and said they were looking for ambassadors. I did some brief research, found that they have a legitimate looking website, so in my naivety, i believed them when they said i had to purchase one of their products to become one and get a discount code for my business. It was only after this that i got a funny feeling and decided to look deeper. Sprinkled in with what I can only assume now are a bunch of fake reviews from bots, were the people calling them out for being scammers. These people need to be shut down before they continue stealing peoples money and personal information.
