Description
I initially contacted via website form to inquire about the availability of a puppy. From then on the conversation started via email. This scammer confirmed that the puppy was available. They Submitted a questionnaire for me to answer to “ensure the puppy went to the right home” . Once I answered all the questions they then asked for the transfer via Zelle. Next morning they messaged me to let me know they dropped off the puppy with the logistic company but the crate was not the one needed for transportation via plane., and said that I would have to arrange that with the logistic company directly. I then get a called from a company allegedly called Mega Pets , they cordially asked to check if I received the email with the instruction, to confirm the address. They then proceeded to inform me that I’d need to deposit $1500 For them to place the puppy on a special thermal crate according to regulations. When they send me the instructions for payment , they send me a Zelle account that seemed very suspicious to me. While I was on hold I quickly did an online search and found that mega pets is located in the UK, the email that I was getting the payment request was from. [email protected] I then hanged up. I emailed them to request they send me another method of payment from the company website but they never responded.
