Shelly Dwyer (aka Shelly Macha) was recommended to me by the LLC owner Chance Bridwell. Reportedly, they had worked together for some time, but Chance reported that he no longer was in the home construction line of work & referred me to Shelly. She had my client sign a contract for renovations to his rental property in PCB on Sept 29, 2023 7 was given a $13k deposit to start work & purchase supplies/materials. Then apparently, she & Chance had a falling out in the beginning of Oct '23. Shelly began the work with demo of the inside of the home as she was contracted to, but that is where all work stopped. Three opportunities were given to her to continue work, but she repeatedly stopped responding to calls & text messages. She has made no attempt to complete the work or return the $13k deposit of the $19k bid my client gave to her to start the job. Police have taken a report & a letter of demand for the money has been sent to the contractors. Since then, 3 more people have reached out to me to report that Shelly Dwyer has stolen money from them as well & not completed work she was contracted to do.
