I thought I was on the United Airlines website. In a hurry to get a flight for a funeral. I called them without using the website (only later to find out that no links on the website actually work). They took my credit card info, passenger names DOB. They sent me a bogus email with flight info and a bogus Confirmation number and said that I would be getting an email with ticket numbers in about 4 hours. No email as of the next morning. Went to the REAL United Airlines website and the Confirmation number would not work. Called scammers back, they said it would be another 4 hours. I called Credit Card to cancel transaction, was told I needed to contact scammers to have them cancel. Called scammers back, got the run around for 25 minutes. When someone finally agreed to cancel, the phone went dead. Called Credit Card to report fraud. Everyone I talked to were Indian. At one point, when I asked WHERE I was calling, I got no answer. I then asked what time it was there. Was told it was 1:00am and it was 10:00am my time.
