The website offered a one-time service to locate an online user manual for a home entertainment system. The cost for the one-time service was 95 cents and was billed to my credit card number that I provided. My credit card was billed 95 cents and "www.manualfinders.com" emailed me a link that accessed an online manual that I was seeking. Seven days later, I noticed that my credit card was billed a second charge by "www.manualfinders.com". My credit card showed that I was being billed by "MANUALS-DATABASE 855-2869763 NY". I contacted the vendor at their "[email protected]" email, which is the email address they used to email me the link to the online user manual. The vendor replied to my email inquiry and stated the second charge was for being enrolled in a subscription provided by "www.manualfinders.com". Long story short, the vendor is scamming the public with very fine print that is only located in a "terms" link that apparently enrolls the customer who wants to pay 95 cents for locating a single online user manual. Also as a summary, I explained to the vendor that I did not intend to activate a subscription, but the vendor has made it clear that they are not going to reimburse me the 69.95 dollars for a subscription that I did not ask for. Shame on this company.
