I thought I was purchasing a rug from Nuloom.com, instead ended up at a website called nuloomsale.com. I proceeded with a rug purchase and paid with my credit card through PayPal. Upon receiving an email from paypal, I immediately suspected something was not right. Everything about the PayPal receipt was very suspicious, including the receipt email I received from said company. In addition, after I attempted to use my credit card, I received a text message from Capital One asking if I was authorizing the purchase. I contacted Capital One immediately and requested to stop payment. I am including screenshots of the PayPal emails and the emails from this fake company. Spelling errors and suspicious looking emails stand out. The company name on the PayPal email is AUFEALO PTY LTD. Not to mention different contact emails on the paypal receipt and in the email from this phony company: [email protected], [email protected]. They were trying to set me up for automatic repeated payments. I hope the file I attached works. There are 10 images in the file.
