So I've been looking for remote work on Jobcase. I got a response saying they looked over my resume and was qualified and to contact Juanita Albert on Skype. He/she even had a picture to go with the Skype account. Long story short... Everything seemed believable up until I was told I was hired and they sent me an employment offer. Even though it had the logo of the company there was no copyright for it. Another eyebrow lifted when they had a long list of software that is being used for the position (it doesn't take all that) and a list of supplies I needed which included a time tracker device. There is no such device. Time tracking for remote jobs are done with apps. They then commenced to say they would send a check via UPS to pay for said supplies and would be sending me a MacBook. I was to get in touch with them the next day to get a tracking number. I am grateful for that time because during the interview process, I was doing quick searches and couldn't find anything to confirm my suspicions. In my waiting I'm grateful for this forum and even though I didn't see the name Linkster Technologies, I saw a lot of reported scams with "Technologies" in the business name and with almost the same exact story as mine. The next day they reached out to me and I commenced to tell them I would purchase the equipment and their was no need to reimburse me. They acted like that was ok. I then hit video call to see a face and even though they were still actively messaging me they denied the call. When I called then on this everything went silent. Please please don't fall for it. I worked a remote job before and I had to have my own equipment and the interview was video. They'll say it's breakthrough technology to better handle the number of applicants as their reason for messaging. One more thing, after sending back the signed employment offer, the Grammer changed. So most of it is scripted.
