Description
Citi Bank called left a voice message regarding fraud charge on credit card from phone number 800-950-5114, rings in as a private number. Left a call back of 877-811-0461. I called the 877 number, it said Citi Bank Fraud and I left a message yes, this is fraud. Got a call the next day from 810-337-8041 from Jason Carter, Account Manager, agent #CG9095 and Mike Stevens, agent, and spent 4 hours on the phone with both at different times giving information and going over different security to update my profile because of the fraud charges. They "said " they closed both of my Citi cards and were talking to the merchants where the fraud occurred. They also had my old addresses and different email addresses. I kept telling them I was uncomfortable with some of the questions but they kept reassuring me this was necessary to secure my accounts. The call ended. Received another call on it lasted about an hour and a half to 2 hours and this time they convinced me that I needed to give them my banking information, which I did. They promptly accessed my accounts and started moving money from my savings to checking. The call ended. They removed 2000 from my checking and was in the process of removing the rest with my bank locked my accounts and called me. 2 days later, a 3rd person from this same 810-337-8041 number had the never to call me - Michael Watson and I let him know that they were thieves and I wanted my money back. He denied this but quickly got off the phone. I have reported this to the police and to Citi Cards. If someone calls you from Citi Bank, please verify before you tell them anything.
