Description
Scammer had a website (and probably several more) that advertised exam help by means of study prep and even offered to take exams for students. The initial payment was $130, but once the scammer "does the job," they then blackmail the student to pay an additional $699 for copyright fees that exposes personal information like address and date of birth (it is a phony TX copyright form). This isn't the only website that is doing this scam. I believe examhelp.org, myexamhelps.org, and quite a few others are hosted on the same server. Then, the scammer, when told "no," will create a fake legal site that sends out a demanding email. The one that contacted the affected person was called "Armstead Law Associates." It took DAYS to get the scam websites taken down with multiple complaints. These websites promising to help students cheat will use any tactic to blackmail students--finding them on social media, finding out where they attend college, and telling them that they will report to their schools they have cheated.
