Was initially messaged on Instagram by someone who claimed to work for Scarf & Tail, who said to message their official account for a free product to be a pet ambassador for the brand (take photos of their product and promote on Instagram) and to just pay shipping. Upon looking back, it appears that this account might be a bot and not a real person. When messaging the official account, they gave me a code to get a free product, then said I would just pay shipping. Shipping was very expensive, so I only added one product to the cart and the total was $12.95. I paid for the product with a credit card, and placed the order on April 23. The order has still not been shipped (I can see through Shopify) and when I tried to email [email protected] (the contact they list on their website and Instagram) it always comes back as a dead email. I also tried to message both the first contact and the official brand directly through Instagram, no response. I did some recent research, and others have found that the shipping comes from Shenzhen, China, despite the company saying they are a small business based in San Francisco, CA. This would explain the high shipping costs and the long time to process orders.
