Description
I began to receive emails from affirm billing stating that I owed an initial payment in the amount of $109.11 towards my loan with Affirm. I did not open an account with Affirm. When I attempted to login, it states there is no account affiliated with my phone number and I am unable to reset or gain access to this account using the email where the initial bill was sent. The initial email was received on April 17, 2023. On April 20,2023, I called the customer service line. I was initially told there was nothing they could do about this situation. When I persisted, I was eventually connected to a manager. The manager took my name, statement, phone number where she could reach me for follow-up and email where the bill was being sent. I refused to give further personal information although I was asked to do so. The manager stated she would place the account on hold while the company investigated and that I would receive no further requests for payment during the investigation. I asked for a received a confirmation email from affirm after this phone call ( re: _00D3t2RA6B._5007V2MGtOR:ref) Not only I have continued to receive these emails asking for a payment in the amount of $109.11, but I am now receiving notifications that this overdue account will soon affect my credit score. I have sent a follow-up email to [email protected] asking for someone to reach out to me for an explanation. I am concerned that this fraudulent charge is not being taken seriously.
