I applied to a job listed on letsworkremotely.com, was sent a text message claiming they were the Head of the Hiring Recruiters Dept. at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. They said the pay was $35 an hour and if I was interested to confirm by replying yes I am or yes. They then asked if I had the Signal Private Messenger app as "everything you need to know about the position will be briefed by the hiring manager." Then I was directed to contact Roswell Gene Anthony using his number in Signal Private Messenger, and to send him a code. "This is your sorting code for the interview. This is the first step to proceed further, he will be expecting to hear from you soon. Let me know once done!!" Then he asked me many very detailed and typical interview questions, but in the end emailed me a fake check for $3,500 for me to print out and deposit, keep $200 for myself as a sign on bonus and use the rest to buy all the supplies needed (he detailed them, a laptop, printer, shredder, etc) to set up my home office. Glad I didn't try to deposit the check and lose more than just my time!
