This lady introduces herself as Katie Williams, HR Assistant from Revere Pharmaceutical. She approached me on March, 20th by e-mail offering a position to work as a data entry clerk for Revere. After I accepted to participate, she sent me a link to an online assessment which has some logical tests and general questions. Next day, she sent me an email saying that a decision was made and offered me the job. She sent an offer letter with details about the company, the job description, payment details, benefits. The letter had the company logo, allegedly signed by the CEO. I checked all these information on Internet, including LinkedIn. The information seemed right. After I signed the letter, she asked me to communicate through Telegram. This is her account on the app: https://t.me/katie_williams1 We start to communicate, she sends a welcome video through the app and says the company is going to pay for the equipment expenses. That information was in the letter as well. I received a check by email, a password secured PDF. She also sent me access to the employee portal website. I was supposed to make the deposit using the bank app, which I did. The instructions for the deposit were sent by another woman, Deborah Rivera, using the email [email protected] She asked me to print the check and sent her a picture of it after I cut it so she would be sure I did it right. Then she gave me the ok to make the deposit. After that, she never answered any of my messages, she probably blocked me on Telegram. Attached to this message are the picture of her profile on Telegram. The check bounced back of course. I still don’t know what it is in it for her. I didn’t give her any sensitive information like bank account or social security.
