Description
A young man with an Irish accent knocked on my door. He stated that they were doing numerous projects in the area and wanted to fix the cracks in my steps leading to the front door of my house. He stated it would be $150 and they will even install sealant to prevent the cracks from forming again. I said only $150 numerous times and he confirmed. Three hour later I hear work being performed outside my door. They were pulling up my cement steps. I open the door as they were pulling up my steps they stayed after further evaluating it won’t be $150 it will be $2500. Then he said he doesn’t feel comfortable repairing the cracks since it wasn’t safe. He then stated he can perform the job for $1200. I stated I did not have the money and demanded them to cement my steps back together. I never filled anything out stating they could perform work on my property. I informed them that they demanded my property, and then demanded them to cement my steps back. They left and I was surprised they came back and repaired them. These tactics used to scam is terrible and I’m sure other have bought into the scam.
