Description

I received a text message and email at about the same time letting me know I was approved for a benevolence fund of $500 all looked very legitimate. Using correct addresses and even logos. I received a formal approval letter attached to the email with very detailed instructions. I clicked the website and they had a huge notice of scammers using their logo. So then I started digging and found the numbers didn't match. Then I reached out to the church to find the "employees" named also didn't exist. They used Google chat to retrieve sensitive information from me such at my bank account number. Everything looked legitimate down to little details only the phone number giving it away. That's when I started digging. It is a scam and I have reported it to the FBI.
