Scam information

This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.

Description

Company placed ransomware on my computer then pretended to be an IT security company helping to get the ransomware off my computer. I wrote a check for $699.23 then scanned it to them for removal of the ransomware. (they never admitted it was their ransomware obviously) . They converted the check to an ACH Transfer and withdrew the funds on 2-6-23 and again on 2-9-23. They electronically affixed my signature to their fake service agreement. They also go by the name Nova Tech and used multiple phone numbers. When I asked why nothing came up when I googled them they said they have a complaint in to Google. My bank said that ACH Transfer Fraud it the fastest growing type of fraud currently being used.
