After a lengthy inteview process the scammers said they would hire me as a DATA Analyst. Their supposed home office sent me employment documents to fill out (w-4 form, banking checking account number for direct deposits, and information on relatives such as their address and phone numbers for personal contacts. They sent me an online bogus check for $4653.00 to deposit on line in my Wells Fargo checking account. The check was for start-up money. I took the online check to the bank for which a bank employee said this was a bogus fraud attempt. I never deposited the check. Here is more information that they used: Hiring manager who contacted me directly used the name of Adam Lawson his phone numbers 516-559-6315 and 320-743-1866 the check was sent from the following address [email protected] The supposed HR department where my employment forms were sent was: [email protected]
