Description

My computer was hacked. I called Vonetel Microsoft Support to report the lockdown. The scammer logged onto the Vonetel Microsoft Support and scanned my computer. Then he showed me that someone was hacking my computer to get money for a subscription to Child Pornography. He said he would repair the computer which it looked like he was doing. The next morning I received a telephone call from Vonetel. I was told in order to keep this from happening again and to prevent my name from being linked to child pornography, I should go to my bank and withdraw $3000.00, purchase 6 Apple Gift cards in the amount of $500.00 each and give him the number on the back of each card. I kept asking him how I was going to get my money back and how it was going to stop my computer from being hacked. He really didn't give me a good reply. I was then told to scan the back of each card and the receipt from the store where purchased. I was afraid to not do this. i did not want my name linked to child pornography. The hacker (scammer) was either an employee of Vonetel Microsoft Support or had access to their telephone numbers and used them to hack my computer. I had previously had Norton with LifeLock on my computer, but it got hacked, and Norton told me they couldn't help me, and then told me to call Microsoft which I did. That's when I was told to subscribe to Vonetel Microsoft Support because Microsoft Support was the only protection needed for a computer.
