I received a phone call from Anna @ SCBN (Select Care Benefits Network) this evening stating that she was responding to an online inquiry that we made about prescription benefits for an uninsured person. She explained that we could qualify for their assistance if I gave her my personal information over the telephone - plus a one time fee of only $85.00. I explained that no one at this address made such an inquiry online and how did she get me phone number? She couldn't explain this to me. I further explained that I didn't feel comfortable giving any personal information over the telephone and would research their Company tonight online to see if they were legitimate. She went on further and offered me the BBB phone number and her direct telephone #1-888-331-1002 x-428 to call her back tomorrow morning to process my application by telephone to see if we qualify for their program. I researched and found online reviews from many other people approached by representatives (by phone) from this company and it sounds like it's nothing but a scam! They've taken the peoples personal information, charged them the $85.00 fee but never helped them with their prescriptions. This is morally just wrong!
