Description
Scammer indicates they are a third-party data data processing company who suffered a cyber incident from 10/21/24-1/13/25 and they offer free credit monitoring through Epiq's "Privacy Solutions ID" software. The letter received provides a website and steps to setup including a 20-digit alphanumeric access code. I originally thought it was legit as the letter looked official enough but I was put off when the site asked for my SSN. That triggered me to research the sender, the credit monitoring company/program, and eventually phishing scams.
