Letter soliciting to send a “Property Assessment Profile” on my home, including my address, home owner’s name, and public information on my home. The envelope states that it is not a government approved or authorized document, and has a warning about legal consequences for interfering with its delivery. Letter asks to detach the bottom portion of letter (which isn’t perforated) and return it to a PO Box in Norco, CA with the $128 “service fee” in the provided envelope (the company address claims to be in Carson City, NV). Rear of the letter restates that the service has not been approved or endorsed by any governmental agency, and that “This is not a bill. This is a solicitation.” Website to order online also seems bogus.
