Description
My son has been saving his allowance, birthday, and Christmas money for nearly 2 years to build a new pc. Originally, we had the components picked out at a grand total of 1,350 USD via amazon. We received 8 out of 9 parts, then I did some more shopping and saw a deal on amazon just before Christmas that was a bit of an upgrade because it was prebuilt (if you know about the ram shortage due to AI, prebuilds for a very short time were for once a better deal than building your own). So I saw this deal and purchased it immediately, then returned the current parts. My son and I knew the wait was going to be 2-3 weeks according to amazon, but it was worth the wait. Come to find out, amazon contacts us and says the shipment isnt coming for some reason, yet I had the tracking information. later on that tracking number changed and I had two tracking numbers that were shipping to my house. I thought that was odd, so I start to question what happened. They said it was damaged, and if that was the case, they should either rebuild it and reship it. OR they could have finished shipping it to me and I could have accepted it as is (if something is damaged, its the case which is a 50-100 dollar fix and I was fine with that). However, they just wanted to refund and chalk it up to back luck. I do not accept this at all. The main reason why is because the original computer parts I ordered previously, now costs roughly 400-600 dollars more now, because the GPU I wanted originally is out of stock. I don't think this is fair, because of their negligence that I have to spend an extra 400 dollars minimum. I am requesting them to fulfill their original plan and sell me what I purchased. The companies involved are MLOONG (located in Singapore), and Amazon (improperly vetting sellers). The red flag of the duplicate item tracking makes me believe something else happened, like they realized their computer was worth a lot more due to the RAM and Storage shortage, they decided to keep the PC and sell it for nearly 4k instead of the -43% discount that was advertised on Amazon. I'm uploading the original document I made that I CC'd to Amazon/Mloong. I don't feel the consumer should have to take the brunt of spending extra money due to mistakes other companies make. I feel like these companies should be held responsible when things go wrong that is of no fault of the customer.
