I received an unsolicited email from an individual named Alina Dorji (using the address [email protected]) claiming to be a representative of Nova Science Publishers. The email proposed a 'Voice Over Collaboration' for a commercial project. The sender is using the name and branding of a legitimate academic publisher (Nova Science Publishers) but communicating via a personal @gmail.com address rather than a corporate domain. I contacted the official Nova Science Publishers support team as well to let them know their brand name was being used. No money was lost, but this is a clear attempt at an overpayment or identity theft scam targeting the voice acting community. The email was as shown: I hope this message finds you well and your week is going smoothly. My name is Alina Dorji, and I oversee creative projects at NOVA PUBLISHER, where we specialize in developing meaningful storytelling experiences that connect creativity, innovation, and human emotion.
