This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I got a text from iCloud messages to my phone. So no number to call back, only the email [email protected]. It said to text +17313251256 with "Job Details" to get more info. From "Calista" with the recruiting team at Robert Half. Typical scam description, 4 days a week, 90 minutes /day, $200-$500 /day. "Help brands like Costco and Sam's Club boost exposure." They've been doing this scam for at least 2 years. If there's a class action lawsuit, I'd love to know about it. They could have gotten my number from Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, or a few others. I will definitely take my phone number off of my online resumes.
