Applied to a data entry job on Indeed, received an email from Laura Brown, HR with Cleave Therapeutics stating that I was selected to move forward in the hiring process, filled out application, got another email stating that I was chosen for the job. That I would need to download telegram app to communicate with Mrs. Barbara Smith who would be doing my onboarding. Started speaking with Barbara and began to get a bad feeling about the entire situation. They sent me a check via email for $950 for software and equipment, at this point I became very suspicious.
